A7A5 has significantly increased its activity in less than a year: according to BitOK, the number of transactions with the ruble stablecoin A7A5 rose from 6,397 in July 2025 to 28,201 in June 2026.
Dynamics of A7A5 Transactions
Month and year --- number of transactions:
- July 2025: 6,397 transactions.
- October 2025: 53,440 transactions, peak of the reporting period.
- June 2026: 28,201 transactions.
What is known about A7A5
A7A5 is a stablecoin, meaning a digital asset pegged to the Russian ruble at a ratio of 1:1. This peg helps users and businesses conduct transactions in digital form without the sharp price fluctuations typical of many crypto assets. For such instruments, the fiat currency to which the rate is pegged remains a key reference.
The issuance of A7A5 tokens took place in February 2025 in Kyrgyzstan. With a 1:1 peg, the price reference for A7A5 is 1 ruble per token, and the market capitalization of the project currently exceeds 44 billion rubles. Some transactions with the token are processed through the operator of the information system "Tokeon," which is part of the PSB group, also known as Promsvyazbank.
Participants and Management
In the A7A5 infrastructure, "Tokeon" plays a significant role as the operator of the information system from the PSB group. The public position of the A7A5 company regarding product development is voiced by Oleg Ogienko, Director of Interaction with Government Authorities and International Relations.
In March, A7A5 became one of the notable assets by transaction volume on the Tron network: in this regard, it was surpassed only by dollar stablecoins USDT and USDD. The dynamics of transactions show a strong surge compared to July 2025, even despite a decline after the October peak.
Why Activity Increased
The company links the growth to an increased demand for the ruble digital instrument. For the A7A5 market, it is important in several roles:
- a settlement digital asset;
- part of the payment infrastructure;
- a tool for which blockchain, market liquidity, price, payments, and trust of participants are important.
The growth in the number of transactions shows that A7A5 is being used more actively. We have big plans for further product development. Expected changes in legislation regarding digital assets will make the rules clearer and provide the market with additional growth opportunities, said Oleg Ogienko, Director of Interaction with Government Authorities and International Relations at A7A5.
For users and businesses, clear rules are important here: legislation can enhance the transparency of participant behavior, reduce uncertainty, and simplify working with digital transactions. Interest in such instruments is growing among various groups:
- participants in the crypto market;
- the banking sector;
- investors.
At the same time, regulatory and market risks remain important for A7A5: the rules governing digital assets are changing, and liquidity, price, and trust of participants directly affect the convenience of transactions.
Regulation and International Transactions
As of September 1, new rules for cryptocurrency transactions came into effect in Russia. Within the country, transactions in them are prohibited, but in foreign economic activity, cryptocurrency is recognized as a legal means of payment. Previously, the expert center of the Association of Banks of Russia cited A7A5 as an example of the development of international transactions.
On the global market, ruble stablecoins compete for attention with instruments pegged to the United States dollar, as well as with a broader sector of digital currency. For investors, a clear infrastructure, access to cryptocurrency wallets, the ability to withdraw through cryptocurrency exchanges, and predictable market capitalization are important.
The context of the crypto market is broader than one token. Various benchmarks influence the valuation of digital assets:
- Bitcoin;
- decentralized finance solutions;
- VASP models;
- banking products, including deposit accounts;
- yield, revenue, interest rates, and overnight rates.
In the international agenda, the approaches of the European Union and the United Kingdom are also taken into account, and individual names and companies, including Ilan Shor and Old Vector, often become part of the discussion on transparency and regulation of crypto infrastructure. For A7A5, the key factor remains practical use in transactions and further development of market rules.
