China and the U.S. Agree to Hold AI Dialogue by the End of November
The head of the U.S. and Canada Division of the Ministry of Commerce interpreted the results of the eighth round of China-U.S. economic and trade consultations. Both sides agreed to establish an artificial intelligence dialogue led by Vice Premier He Lifeng and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen as the respective heads of China and the U.S. They conducted the first dialogue to exchange views on the risks and benefits related to artificial intelligence. Both parties agreed to hold the next dialogue by the end of November this year and to establish a communication channel for artificial intelligence incidents.
