Former Hack VC Partner Hsin-Ju Chuang Found Dead, Had Rejected Settlement Proposal
Hsin-Ju Chuang was found dead on August 24 near the off-ramp of Interstate 15 in the Mojave Desert, California, at the age of 37. Investigators are looking into the cause of death, which remains unclear whether it was due to high temperatures, sudden illness, mechanical failure, or other reasons. On the same day, Hsin-Ju published a lengthy article accusing Hack VC, stating that she had rejected the company's settlement proposal and was scheduled to publicly disclose evidence related to her time at Hack VC on August 26. She claimed that during her tenure, she was required to continue working despite medical emergencies and was threatened by the company, which stated that if she resigned before the completion of an event, she would be blacklisted in the industry. Additionally, she accused the company of mishandling health insurance after her departure and continuing to exert pressure during legal negotiations.
