The National Bank of Ukraine has changed the procedure for interaction between non-banking institutions and the specially authorized body (SAB) and improved the financial monitoring procedures in banks and institutions. The procedure for accounting and deregistration of institutions under the supervision of the NBU in the SAB has been clarified, as well as the procedure for information exchange between institutions and the SAB. The changes concern the maintenance of registers of messages and remote verification of individuals using information from credit history bureaus. These changes were approved by the NBU resolution dated October 7, 2026, No. 116, and will come into effect on October 10, 2026. Banks and institutions must align their internal procedures with the new requirements within three months. The NBU also plans to reduce regulatory costs for small payment companies by allowing them to combine key functions.
