Safe Foundation Proposes Grant of 7.4 Million SAFE to Support Safenet Aegis Network
The Safe Foundation has released a proposal draft on the SafeDAO forum, intending to allocate approximately 7.4 million SAFE (about $708,000) from its treasury to support the transaction security network Safenet Aegis for a period of 12 months. Of this amount, around 5 million SAFE will be used for validator staking rewards, and 2.4 million SAFE will be allocated for milestone funding for six sentinel nodes. Safenet Aegis will assess transaction security in real-time through security check nodes, with on-chain proof provided by validators, aiming to launch its mainnet in Q4 2026 and integrate with the Safe wallet. The draft initially proposes a fee of 0.4 USDC for each security check, all of which will be paid to the sentinel nodes. This proposal is currently in the discussion phase and awaits governance voting.
