Stablecoin card spending reaches 189 million dollars in a week
Weekly card payment volume using stablecoins exceeded 189 million dollars two weeks ago, marking a record high. Stablecoin card payment volume has shown consistent growth this year. As of July, USDC and USDT comprised approximately 84% of the stablecoin card payment volume, with USDC at 58% and USDT at 26%. The average payment size was around 86 dollars, with most transactions processed through Visa. By card issuer, RedotPay led with about 395 million dollars in monthly payment volume, followed by Ether.fi and KAST. These three providers accounted for roughly 77% of the total card transaction volume in the dataset. Additionally, RedotPay suspended all new card issuance for South Korean users in September.
