The A7A5 Stablecoin Can Be Used Under New Regulations
The ruble-backed stablecoin A7A5 can be utilized by Russian businesses in accordance with new digital asset regulations, stated Oleg Ogienko, the director of government relations and international affairs at A7A5, at the RBC Capital Markets forum on September 15. Ogienko noted that A7A5 has broader objectives than merely converting rubles into foreign stablecoins and can already serve as a foundation for new regulations. Businesses are using the digital currency for export and import transactions, and such operations could become common practice; however, clear rules and acceptable fees are necessary. With the adoption of regulations, the Russian crypto market is transitioning to a more organized stage, which will benefit citizens, businesses, and the state, as well as create conditions for the growth of institutional investments in blockchain infrastructure. Ogienko emphasized the importance of developing proprietary technological services, such as RPC providers and digital depositories. He also highlighted concerns regarding the security of digital assets, mentioning the rise in hacks of blockchain infrastructure in the first half of 2026.
