Tom Lee says crypto can grow without Clarity Act
Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine and DeFi Technologies, stated that the cryptocurrency market can continue to rise even if the Clarity Act does not pass. He emphasized that actual demand in the crypto market is more significant than any single bill. Lee noted that the passage of the Clarity Act would establish a clearer regulatory framework for the crypto industry and define the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's role. However, he asserted that the CFTC and SEC would remain the primary federal regulators overseeing the industry regardless of the bill's outcome. Lee also highlighted that sectors like prediction markets and sports betting have continued to grow despite regulatory uncertainty.
