1.2 Billion Consumers in the Asia-Pacific Region May Use Stablecoins by 2031
A survey by payment technology company Visa shows that nearly half of consumers in the Asia-Pacific region may use stablecoins within the next five years, a significant increase from the 16% who actually used them in the past year. The survey indicates that only 6% of respondents understand how stablecoins work, and concerns about fraud and scams remain the main barriers to adopting stablecoins. Consumer interest in using stablecoins for everyday purchases, travel payments, and cross-border transfers is on the rise.
