Bitcoin: Justin Sun, 2nd richest crypto fortune behind Satoshi Nakamoto, has almost no TRX left
Money never sleeps. At Justin Sun's, it even takes a paid nap. The analysis platform Arkham has tagged $2.25 billion in assets across ten blockchains in the wallets of the TRON founder. This amount places him second among the richest on-chain individuals, behind Satoshi Nakamoto.
However, the details of the portfolio hold a significant surprise. The token from his own blockchain is now merely a side note.
Key points of this article:
- Justin Sun has been ranked as the second richest on-chain individual with $2.25 billion in assets spread across ten blockchains.
- Justin Sun's on-chain wallet is dominated by investments in stablecoins and major cryptocurrencies, with a surprisingly low presence of TRX, the token of his own blockchain.
Justin Sun and his $2.25 billion on-chain: a closer look at the portfolio
Arkham published the inventory on X on October 12, supported by a screenshot from its explorer. The counter displayed $2,246,796,104 at the time of publication, spread across 211 addresses. Arkham also reminds us that Justin Sun also leads BitTorrent and owns two exchanges, HTX and Poloniex. Justin Sun's on-chain wallet on the Arkham explorer, October 12, 2026. The first line of the portfolio is anything but speculative crypto. Justin Sun holds $986 million in sUSDS, which is about $1.09 billion and nearly half of his on-chain fortune. The sUSDS is the "savings" version of Sky's USDS stablecoin, the former MakerDAO, which pays a yield to holders. The protocol currently shows an annual rate of 3.80%. Do the math. At the current rate, this single line generates just over $41 million per year.
Behind that, there is ether and bitcoin. The billionaire holds 238,861 stETH, ether staked via Lido, worth $607.5 million. Additionally, he has 4,042 BTC (worth $336.7 million) and 1,690 WBTC, "wrapped" bitcoin for circulation on Ethereum, worth $140.6 million. In total, nearly $478 million in bitcoin in one form or another.
TRX almost absent from the TRON founder's portfolio
You have to scroll down quite a bit to find the home token. TRX only appears in sixth place, in the form of 39.2 million sTRX (staked TRX) worth $17.3 million. The top six lines total $2.22 billion, leaving less than $24 million for the rest of the portfolio.
The contrast with the beginning of the year is striking. In its profile dedicated to Justin Sun published in February, Arkham still listed about $527 million in TRX in his known wallets, making it his top position.
Caution before shouting about a major liquidation. Arkham only counts the addresses it has formally attributed to the billionaire. Its AI flagged 142 other addresses that could belong to him, for about $4 billion more. The HTX platform held nearly $3.4 billion in TRX according to the same profile, and its holdings are not included in Justin Sun's personal fortune.
WLFI: the bet on the Trump family has melted away
The other notable line tells a less glorious story. Justin Sun retains $544.7 million in WLFI, the token of World Liberty Financial, the Trump family's crypto project. At the price displayed by Arkham of $0.057, the package is now worth only $31 million.
Arkham reminded in February that the billionaire had briefly held up to $3 billion in WLFI, worth about $700 million. In the meantime, the project froze its tokens in September 2025, and the two parties are now facing off in court.
Satoshi Nakamoto remains out of reach with $92 billion, according to Arkham's September ranking, and Vitalik Buterin ranks fifth with $629 million. Justin Sun, meanwhile, is still waiting for the outcome of the legal battle against WLFI in a Florida court.
