Avalanche Emerges as a Candidate for Trading Platform

Michael Braughlund, the company's Vice President of Strategy, named Avalanche (AVAX) as a candidate for this ATS.

This statement was revealed through a post on Avalanche's official X account (@avax) on September 17.

In the post, Braughlund stated, "While comparing various platforms, Avalanche meets many criteria, and we are strengthening our collaboration with their team."

Formal Contract Still Ahead

In a statement from January 2026, Braughlund also mentioned, "Building market infrastructure for on-chain trading, settlement, custody, and fundraising is a crucial step in ICE's strategy," indicating that the development of a 24/7 trading ATS was not previously disclosed.

However, the mention of Avalanche in this context is limited to an evaluation phase for platform selection, and there has been no announcement from ICE or NYSE regarding a formal contract or decision to adopt Avalanche. His comments were conveyed through Avalanche's post, and as of the time of writing, no independent statement from ICE or NYSE has been confirmed.
