Ledger users unable to access ATOM after Cosmos recovery
Ledger's status page reported a major outage for Cosmos (ATOM) on Sept. 13, preventing users from viewing balances or transaction history and submitting transactions through Ledger Wallet. The incident began on Sept. 8 at 19:41 CEST, with restoration efforts ongoing as of Sept. 10 at 16:12 CEST. Ledger has not provided a cause or estimated restoration time. While Cosmos Hub resumed block production, Ledger Wallet access remains unavailable. QuickNode noted that Cosmos Mainnet stalled at block 32,878,318 on Sept. 8 but returned to normal operations by Sept. 12. Users may see missing balances in Ledger Wallet despite the network processing new blocks. For urgent ATOM transactions, Ledger suggests using third-party interfaces like Cosmostation and Keplr, while emphasizing that connecting a hardware wallet differs from importing its recovery phrase. Users should monitor Ledger's status page for updates before attempting any workarounds.
