Michael Saylor Introduces Strategy Digital Credit Strategy
Michael Saylor, founder of the Bitcoin treasury company Strategy, introduced how the company builds "digital credit" by managing assets and capital structures such as Bitcoin, USD, debt, preferred stock, and common stock. Saylor stated that MSTR represents "digital equity," while STRC represents "digital credit." Strategy aims to allocate more Bitcoin volatility and revenue potential to common stockholders through its capital structure, while providing STRC investors with USD income, lower price volatility, and shorter duration characteristics. The company's goal is to transform non-yielding Bitcoin capital into income-generating corporate securities by "stripping volatility, compressing duration, and extracting yield."
