OSL Launches USDGO Market-Neutral Fund On-Chain for Hong Kong Investors
OSL Group has tokenized the USDGO Plus SP fund on-chain, offering custody and distribution through its licensed platform in Hong Kong. This market-neutral digital asset fund, structured around USDGO, is available exclusively to eligible professional investors. OSL has partnered with 2WA to provide the necessary infrastructure for custody and distribution. The fund is the first of its kind to be market-neutral and based on a stablecoin. OSL tokenizes the fund units and facilitates access for investors in Hong Kong via its application. The underlying USDGO is also custodied with OSL, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The investment strategy aims to remain market neutral, focusing on generating returns from spreads and relative-value opportunities rather than tracking crypto prices. This differentiates it from traditional Bitcoin and Ethereum products. The on-chain structure simplifies ownership and settlement, particularly for investors using stablecoins. Hong Kong's regulatory framework supports the development of licensed trading, custody, and tokenization services. However, USDGO Plus SP remains a professionally managed product with eligibility restrictions, emphasizing that tokenization enhances existing financial structures rather than decentralizing them.
