Solana Prediction Market World Launches as Independent Platform
The Solana prediction market platform World officially launched today, opening to over 1 million users on the waiting list. The platform covers markets for the NFL regular season, seven major football leagues, F1, the 2026 midterm elections, and the next Federal Reserve interest rate decision. Since July, World has been operating in an embedded form through Phantom, launching over 150,000 markets to date. In the future, it will introduce markets for stock price fluctuations and commodities such as gold, silver, oil, natural gas, and computing power, as well as weather prediction markets for major cities worldwide. World utilizes Chainlink Data Streams and Chainlink Runtime Environment to provide market data and automated settlement, replacing traditional manual review mechanisms. Each market is presented in a binary contract format of "yes/no," with a price range of $0 to $1, settled in Phantom's stablecoin CASH.
