Star Criticizes CZ for Claiming Binance's Voluntary Compensation of $800 Million
OKX CEO Star posted on the X platform, criticizing CZ's remarks regarding user compensation at Binance. In an interview, CZ stated that Binance had offered approximately $800 million to compensate affected users, despite having no obligation to do so. He claimed that external focus on negative news about Binance was misplaced, as the platform still maintained a net inflow of funds during the controversy, suggesting that community opinion might be manipulated. Star questioned CZ's description of the compensation as voluntary, pointing out that the market crash had caused losses of hundreds of billions of dollars, severely impacting many investors. He argued that compensation should not be used as a reason for self-praise, sarcastically referring to CZ's comments as "who is the Yue Buqun of the crypto world."
