New Brazilian brokerage emerges at the same address as Brasil Bitcoin, with the same partners and holds key domain: understand the tension involving the exchange's leadership
A new Brazilian brokerage has emerged just before the deadline for regulation by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB), called Brasil 8, which has two partners from Bitcoin Brasil. This is because, by October 30, unregulated companies must cease their operations within thirty days in the country.
Additionally, the new company shares the same address as Bitcoin Brasil in São Paulo, and even the brokerage's domain is now registered under Brasil 8.

Previously, Brasil 8 was registered in 2021 in Rio de Janeiro as CID 8 Soluções, which provided virtual asset intermediation services. The recent move was its transfer to São Paulo, formalized by a contractual amendment signed on September 17, 2026, and the new address, registered with the São Paulo Commercial Board on September 25, is Avenida Roque Petroni Júnior, 850, suite 81 of Tower A, exactly the commercial suite used by Brasil Bitcoin.
This is yet another episode of tension among the partners of Bitcoin Brasil, the brokerage that will hold a meeting at the commercial board on October 12 to decide whether partner Erick Crus will be expelled from the company. He holds 40% of the company's shares, as reported exclusively by Livecoins.
The other partners Jorge de Almeida Alves and Marco Vinicius Castellari hold the remaining shares and are the current managing partners of the company. The report also found that the Head of the Commercial Area, Hugo Benício das Neves, has also left Bitcoin Brasil and migrated to Brasil 8 as a partner of the new brokerage, which also brings along two other professionals, a lawyer and another accountant.

The existence of another brokerage does not, by itself, prove irregularity or intention to transfer business. Thus, the relationship between them deserves attention because the second company shares administrators and address with the first and appears as the holder of its electronic domain.
Furthermore, the documents obtained by the report do not allow determining whether Brasil 8 has already submitted a request for authorization to the Central Bank or if it intends to do so.
What did Brasil Bitcoin's advisory say to Livecoins? Brokerage says it will not close its doors due to disagreements among partners: "we will resolve quickly"
"Brasil Bitcoin clarifies that it will not cease its activities and will continue its operations. The company is following its regulatory adjustment process and will submit its authorization request to the Central Bank within the established deadline," it stated in a note after being approached by the Livecoins report.
"The company continues to grow and invest in strengthening its operation and improving the services offered to customers, reaffirming its commitment to the future of the business," it further explained.
Finally, the explanation via advisory did not have any of the partners taking ownership of the comments, but indicates that the Brasil Bitcoin operation will not come to an end. Additionally, it highlights that the dispute among the partners will end soon.
"Brasil Bitcoin reinforces that its customers and the continuity of services will not be affected by disagreements among partners. The expectation is that the corporate issues will be resolved swiftly and amicably, preserving the stability of the operation and the interests of all involved," it concluded.

"Regarding the Central Bank's deadline: it is a very tight deadline, especially given the facts that have come to light in recent days, and the request depends on course corrections that still need to be made. For me, more important than meeting the deadline to continue operating is to operate in compliance with the law and regulation, strictly following the rules for preventing money laundering and compliance that the regulator expects from an institution with 8 years of experience, led by administrators with professionalism and capacity to operate in a regulated environment," he said about Brasil Bitcoin.
When asked about the new exchange that emerges with his partners, he says he is aware of the company but received the news with astonishment.
"Regarding Brasil 8: I became aware of the company this week, with astonishment. It operates in the same location as Brasil Bitcoin, uses a name practically identical to the B8 brand, which belongs to Brasil Bitcoin, and has as partners the two administrators and the head of the commercial area of Brasil Bitcoin. The most serious, and which is in the public record, is that Brasil 8 is now the holder of the domain brasilbitcoin.com.br, a transfer that was never deliberated by the partners nor even communicated to the company," he highlighted.
"Due to confidentiality obligations, I limit myself to this information. I am taking all appropriate legal measures," Crus concluded.
