Robinhood Chain Considers Paid Priority for Transactions
Robinhood Chain, a layer two blockchain for tokenized real financial assets, is exploring a transaction ordering model that allows users to pay an additional fee for faster transaction processing. The new system is being developed against the backdrop of Arbitrum, which provides infrastructure for Robinhood Chain. The network is considering an updated version of priority processing technology. Arbitrum previously offered a paid transaction ordering technology called Timeboost, which provided a 200-millisecond advantage. On September 24, Arbitrum replaced Timeboost with Priority Gas Auctions, allowing traders to increase fees for earlier transaction processing. Currently, Robinhood Chain uses a standard queuing principle. Launched in July, the network quickly entered the top ten largest blockchains by total value locked. Prioritizing transactions is important for Robinhood in light of the development of tokenized stocks and 24/7 trading. Unlike traditional brokerage businesses, paid prioritization in the blockchain gives traders an advantage through earlier transaction processing, which is critical for professional participants. It also helps prevent front-running of transparent transactions, which can formalize access to speed advantages for organizations competing for fast trading connections.
