Zscaler CEO Refutes Altman's Comments on AI Side Effects
Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry has refuted OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's statement that the negative side effects of artificial intelligence (AI) must be accepted. Chaudhry argued that accepting the negative outcomes of AI is unacceptable, and that both AI model developers and companies must take responsibility to minimize side effects. He emphasized the need to improve the safety of AI models and for companies to establish better safeguards and policies. Zscaler supports companies in protecting their systems from AI agents that operate beyond control, with a market capitalization valued at $33.9 billion. The debate over AI risks has spread throughout the tech industry, and recently, major AI companies in the U.S. agreed to voluntary safety standards at the White House. President Donald Trump referred to these standards as akin to the Constitution. However, differences in perspectives on the explanation and response to AI risks still exist.
