Bitcoin Could Reach $500,000 by 2030, Says Strive CEO
Matt Cole, CEO of Strive, believes that Bitcoin could reach $500,000 by 2030. Speaking during a conversation on the 'What Bitcoin Did' channel, the executive criticized the short-term outlook of other investors.
Currently, Strive holds the fifth largest Bitcoin reserve among public companies, totaling 29,462 coins (worth $2.5 billion). Ahead of it are only Strategy (848,000 BTC), Metaplanet (44,000 BTC), Twenty One Capital (43,514 BTC), and the mining company MARA Holdings (35,577 BTC).
Recently, Michael Saylor mentioned Strive while arguing that this competition among treasury companies could benefit both parties.
Strive CEO Believes Macroeconomic Changes Could Benefit Bitcoin in the Coming Years
With the bear market considered over by many market players, various managers, analysts, and executives have recently begun making very optimistic predictions for Bitcoin in the coming years.
For Matt Cole, CEO of Strive, the target is around $500,000. This would mean a 483% increase from the current price and a 296% increase from the cryptocurrency's all-time high, recorded in 2025.
Starting his comments on the subject, the executive first talked about the past peak and the bear market to explain his view.
"I think what's interesting is that Bitcoin fell 50%. It even fell to its 200-week moving average. And part of that happened because we had a relatively unattractive bull market. So Bitcoin didn't rise that much and therefore didn't need to fall that much to reach its 200-week moving average. So we had less euphoria and consequently less need for a correction. I believe part of this was due to the institutionalization of Bitcoin. But you have long-term investors who found Bitcoin at the 200-week moving average attractive and started buying on the dip."

Following this, Cole points out that macroeconomic changes have reflected investor sentiment about Bitcoin and criticizes those who think in the short term.
As an example, he notes that some people are predicting that Bitcoin will return to its all-time high this year, something he says he has no reason to believe or doubt.
"You broaden the horizon and say: 'I think Bitcoin could be at $500,000 by the end of 2030.' And I think the average person would say: 'That's actually higher than I expected,' because they certainly think about diminishing returns. Maybe Bitcoin only rises to $250,000 over the next few years. I believe this difference between thinking short-term and long-term is simply a matter of compound interest. People have difficulty understanding the effect of compound interest. They think too much about the short term and not enough about zooming out."
In other parts, the executive also talked about U.S. public debt, artificial intelligence, differences between Bitcoin treasury strategies, and, of course, about his own company, Strive.

The Bitcoin price briefly fell below $81,000 on October 9, 2026, its lowest level in nearly three weeks, after repeated failures near $87,000. A bond selloff, weaker tech stocks, spot ETF outflows and a long liquidation wave all added pressure. The $80,000 area is now the key support, while $83,000 is the first level bulls need to reclaim.
