CVM Discusses Blockchain and Tokenization at Symposium in the USA
The Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) participated in the sixth Annual Blockchain Regulation Symposium at Fordham University School of Law, held in New York on Monday (5). President Otto Lobo presented Brazilian initiatives for tokenization in the capital markets. Lobo highlighted the new oversight of the Brazilian market and the formation of the Tokenization Working Group (GTT), which involves superintendencies and industry professionals. By the end of the year, the CVM plans to test oversight with artificial intelligence. The event addressed the creation of rules for financial innovations, with representatives discussing the advancement of tokenization and AI. Prior to the symposium, the CVM was in Milan, participating in the Secondary Markets Regulation Committee, promoted by IOSCO, where Lobo spoke about the integration of tokenization into the national economy and advocated for automated systems for trade analysis.
