Strive Acquires 2000 Bitcoin for 169 Million Dollars
Strive purchased 2000 Bitcoin last week, marking its largest acquisition in four months. The company paid an average of approximately 84422 dollars per coin from September 28 to October 2, totaling around 169 million dollars. This acquisition increased Strive's total Bitcoin holdings to 29462 as of October 2, valued at about 2.5 billion dollars based on an average price of 86000 dollars per coin. Strive operates as a Bitcoin treasury company, raising funds from investors to invest in Bitcoin instead of cash. In September 2025, Strive agreed to acquire Semler Scientific, which held roughly 5000 Bitcoin, further boosting its holdings. Shareholders approved this deal in January, resulting in a combined total of about 12800 Bitcoin. Strive's holdings have increased by 48% in dollar terms since July 2. The recent capital raised primarily came from selling SATA preferred stock, which accounted for 70% of capital in the week ending September 4 and 85% in the week ending September 25. Each SATA share has a stated amount of 100 dollars, with Strive currently paying about 13% annually in dividends. Strive's average cost per Bitcoin was reported at 90170 dollars at the end of September, slightly above the trading price of 86000 dollars on Monday. Strive ranks fifth among public Bitcoin holders, trailing behind Twenty One Capital, which holds 43514 Bitcoin.
