Virtuals Launches Stock-Linked Token Vault Occupy
Virtuals Protocol has launched Occupy, a platform that combines stock-linked token trading with AI governance. Each token is linked to a single tokenized stock, and a portion of the trading fees is used to purchase the linked stocks and incorporate them into the vault. Occupy was unveiled on the 16th on Base, and the official site introduces it as a platform for placing stock-linked tokens and related stocks into an AI agent vault. Assets of tokens linked to the same stock are pooled into a single vault. 40% of the trading fees are used for purchasing linked stocks, and token issuers can receive 30% of the fees. The vault is managed by a 10-member AI senate elected by token holders, which decides on stock holdings in the vault, stock distribution to holders, and token buybacks. Candidate registration has begun, but the schedule for the first election will be announced separately. The rights and usage scope of tokenized stocks may vary depending on the issuing entity, jurisdiction, and product-specific conditions, and there is a risk of total loss of principal for related tokens and products.
