Pump.fun Adjusts Reward Algorithm to Reduce Incentives for Low-Quality Recommendations
Pump.fun co-founder Alon announced on the X platform that the platform will adjust its reward algorithm, focusing on reducing incentives for low-quality recommendation behaviors. This change aims to prevent users from earning rewards by recommending low-market-cap tokens without considering the actual returns for their followers. Alon pointed out that limiting rewards for recommending micro-cap tokens may result in users who successfully discover high-potential tokens not receiving their due rewards. The team is researching how to define high-quality early recommendations worthy of rewards and will set corresponding market cap thresholds, with specific criteria yet to be announced. In the future, the reward mechanism will be further refined, with a focus on rewarding users who genuinely help fans achieve profits.
