Dragonfly Capital Qureshi: Crypto More Necessary for People than AI
Dragonfly Capital managing partner Haseeb Qureshi stated that crypto is more essential for people than for AI agents, countering earlier predictions of widespread AI adoption of crypto payments. Speaking at the Token2049 conference in Singapore, Qureshi noted that existing payment networks like credit cards are already accessible to AI agents, making crypto unnecessary for them. He emphasized that AI could enhance people's confidence in using crypto by minimizing errors, similar to traditional banking. Additionally, Qureshi highlighted that as AI reduces surveillance costs and physical threats rise, crypto and private AI could serve as a crucial defense for privacy against state power.
